A Study of the Differences between Chinese and Foreign oral Expressions in speech

As a prepared language expression at a specific time, place, and facing a specific audience, speech has been a very common social phenomenon since ancient times. From ancient times to the present, speeches have envolved from a narrow scope of certain knowledge and power into a more common and public activity. Although the essence of conveying thoughts and conveying in speech has not changed, due to the different cultural background, the characteristics of oral expression demonstrated in speech are completely different. In this paper, the TED talks in the United States and YI XI in China are observed and analyzed, from which the characteristics of Chinese and foreign oral expressions are summarized.
